Looking for Zion Beyond This Ignorant Present.

Looking for Zion Beyond This Ignorant Present.
This Blog is written for Latter-day Saints and anyone else who enjoys history, perspective and religion. it is at its heart a standing social commentary. I have no intents on discussing deep LDS doctrine,I do not apologize for the LDS CHurch, the church needs no apology, the Lord holds his own just fine. I believe that we have a duty to work for Zion; this blog is a record of things that stand in the way of our work, it is a record of the adversaries grand distractions.

Linescratchers

Linescratchers
Linescratchers is about music written by LDS musicians. Not music about the LDS church necessarily, but music written by Latter-day Saints about their emotions and about the world. I created this blog because I’ve been searching online for something like this for years, and have decided it doesn’t exist. I’ve personally selected musicians from all over the country to be interviewed about their music and their lives, information that I believe will enrich our love for these musicians and their music.

Mormon-Patriot

Mormon-Patriot
Mormon-Patriots is a group of, well… LDS American Patriots. We feel strongly that it is our duty, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and citizens of The United States of America, to raise our voices in support of that which is good and noble; as well as in opposition to efforts to destroy this great nation and our God-given freedoms. Here we raise our Title of Liberty.

Kelhop Glen

Kelhop Glen
An occasionally conservative, family-oriented, japan-centric, shallow, liberal, buddhist and/or realist set of “posts” poorly reasoned by yet another Mormon lawyer from California, as if there weren’t enough of us. You may (or may not) find stuff here on LDS life, teachings, and culture, LDS life in Japan, family life, news and politics, and the law.

Mormon Neighbor Blog

Mormon Neighbor Blog
This is a personal religious blog by me. The inspiration was President Eyring’s encouragement to begin a journal about being thankful. I decided to begin doing that here. I also realized I have tons of great notes that I have taken with personal insights that I have never done anything with. It’s my hope to be more diligent at recording those things for my children and others I care about.

The Mormon Organon

The Mormon Organon
Evolution, Ecology, and Ethics: A Froward BYU Biology Professor Looks at Science and the LDS Faith
The Mormon Organon (named after Aristotle’s book on logic), explores issues in science and religion. It is serious, satirical, and meant to be fun and informative. I am especially going to focus on understanding science, the place of evolution and ecology in the LDS faith.

Book of Mormon Stories: Lessons for Everyday Life

Book of Mormon Stories: Lessons for Everyday Life
Upon hearing Elder Ballard’s advice I decided to start my own blog. People turn to blogs for infromation on the subjects that interest them. The key to a sucessful blog is to keep it interesting and updated regularly. In other words you have to hook your reader and keep them hooked. Since everyone likes a good story-and there isn’t a better one than the Book of Mormon – it is my hope that my blog, Book of Mormon Stories: Lessons for Everyday Life will get people hooked the stories about Nephi, Alma, General Moroni, the Br. of Jared – and oh so many more. Of course the blog will strongliy emphasize the roll of Jesus Christ in the lives of these characters. There will be no preaching or defending of the church in the blog – just a good plot and applying the lessons therein to daily life.

Commentary On The Book of Mormon, Bible and More

Commentary On The Book of Mormon, Bible and More
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It was revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith in these latter days and is a document of scripture of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A man can become closer to God in following its principles than any other book on earth. I invite you to read my commentary on the passages.
